50 Shades of Grey
So, I’ve been hearing a lot about this book lately.
50 Shades of Grey, By E.L. James.
First I heard about it on set while I was doing stage-mom duty. The writer and the assistant director were talking about it. They seemed to think it was pretty good stuff. I didn’t get involved in the conversation, I know my place on set…which is “invisible.” Well, mostly invisible. I do chat with the wardrobe and makeup people and the stand-ins. But they’re doing the same thing I am while filming takes place. But I digress….
Next I started hearing my morning radio talk show hosts banter about it. They have alluded to the fact that one of their listeners who is in her 80′s might be their oldest listener who is a fan of this book.
And finally on the weekend my girlfriends said that they’ve been reading them.
I’ve obviously lived under a rock until 2 weeks ago since I hadn’t even heard about the books until then.
Have you read them? What do you think??? I want to know! Scroll down and click below the social share buttons below to leave a comment.

I’d skip it. I found it poorly written. You can find better erotica out there for sure.
I agree with Shannon, I don’t think it deserves the hype. It’s laughable how bad it is written, the characters are annoying, there is no plot, after the first sex scene it gets repetitive. In short, it’s awful. It’s getting all the attention because it’s women are basically buying porn and not shying away from it.
Thanks Mariel, I think I’ve decided to skip this book and wait for the movie. Just kidding! lol I’m just going to skip the book.
If you enjoy reading, read them for just the fun of it. I read all 3 just to know what friends were saying about it. It is a love story with a twisted tale to say the least. I read all 3 in 2 wks. But then I read a lot of different kinds of books. Be your own judge. But I will say book #3 was the best of all.
Thanks for the suggestion Chris!
